Criterion c (Decision Threshold)

SDT decision threshold of a binary appraiser — reveals whether they lean towards "OK" or "NOK", independent of their discriminability.

Also known as: decision criterion, response bias c

The criterion (also: bias) measures the decision threshold of a binary appraiser. From hit rate and false-alarm rate :

: conservative threshold — the appraiser leans towards "NOK" (more false alarms, fewer misses). : liberal threshold — they lean towards "OK" (fewer false alarms, more misses). : neutral threshold.
