False-Alarm Rate

Fraction of truly good parts that an appraiser wrongly rates as NOK — in binary attribute MSA.

Also known as: false alarm, false rejection, type I error rate (appraiser)

The false-alarm rate is the conditional probability that an appraiser rates a truly positive part (OK, ref = pos) as negative (NOK, rating = neg).

It creates scrap and rework; directly cost-driving. Wilson score CI (95 %) for the proportion.
